On Mother’s and Father’s Days,
children give parents gifts.
On Children’s Day what gifts
would children like to receive?
It has been said that when we
give someone a gift, we don’t really give a gift. The gift is only a symbol of
the feeling, affection and love we have for the other person. Next time you
need to give a child a gift, remember that even young children are sensitive
and aware of this.
So, the most expensive gift a
parent can give a child is time. For a child love means time. This is why time
spent with children is never lost. This includes playing, walking or just
talking to the youngester.
Children just like adults are
trying to interpret their own world. The feedback they get from parents, is
very significant to help them build their own emotional maturity.
Children’s Day is a time of
the year for parents to be mindful of and grateful for their own children.
After all, someone once said that unless we are pure like a child we cannot
enter heaven.
